COMMERCIAL CLEANING TIPS FOR YOUR WORKPLACE
Even though it is likely that you have employed a commercial cleaning service for your workplace, it is important to keep in mind that these people will not be coming to your office every day. This means that much of the mess you make will be left for days on end before your cleaners pay you a visit. Use the following handy tips to help you keep your workplace neat and tidy between visits from your cleaning service.
- Our computers and other electronics are actually some of the most used items in our offices, which is why they become so dirty. Use a micro fiber cloth the gently wipe down screens and blow debris out of enclosed spaces using compressed air.
- Clean the keyboard by dipping cotton swabs into some rubbing alcohol and moving them around each of the keys. This will disinfect as well as clean the keyboard.
- Remove everything from the tops of desks, shelves and tables once a month. Spray with an all-purpose cleaner and give the surfaces a good wipe down. Dust off books and files as you return them back to their places to minimize dirt.
- Wipe down leather office chairs with wipes that have been specifically made for this purpose. Make sure that you give the legs and feet of your chairs a good dust, too.
- Place a container of disinfectant wipes into one of your drawers so that you can quickly clean up spills when they occur. You can also use these wipes to regularly disinfect the mouthpiece of your telephone, which is actually a haven for germs.
- Keep a few spare rubbish bags in the bottom of your bin, as this will allow for quick emptying and replacement. When you take the full bag out, you can just pull the new one up
By following each of the above commercial cleaning tips, you can ensure that your workplace is kept relatively neat and tidy in between visits from your regular cleaners. Just because you are paying a commercial cleaning service to give your office a good go over every few weeks, it does not mean that you should work in a pigsty all the days between. Just be conscientious of your mess and hygiene – you’ll be fine.
